Advent, Day 27: Love conquers fear

The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” (v. 30)


God, let your love
make me
fearless:

unafraid to look the fool,
to stand up,
to speak truth,
to sing praise

make me unafraid
to be alone

and unafraid to connect

make me unafraid
to imagine
an unheard-of way:
to conceive
a new life
