a prayer for prayer
God,
teach us to listen,
not just talk
teach us to be silent,
not automatically fill the
space with words
teach us to see
ourselves in your Story
teach us to pull our scattered thoughts
in to the Center
teach us to praise,
not just askaskask
teach us to share
the practice of prayer together,
not to try to make it only “mine”
and
lead us
in the neverending
Amen.
