forgive me, God,
for these most frequent sins:
running my mouth when I should keep quiet
and
being silent when I should speak up
give me discernment to know
when to listen and when to speak out
give me courage
to let silence linger
and
courage
to let my voice be heard
in the silence
and
in the words of my mouth
be present
may they both be
acceptable in your sight,
O Lord,
my Rock and my Redeemer
